24th March 2022· Digital Manufacturing Centre (DMC) exhibiting at MACH2022 – stand 17-541.
· 25,000 attendees from manufacturers and technology suppliers set to attend.
· Set to host Inspiration Zone for STEM students with 3D printers in action.
· CEO, Kieron Salter, giving a presentation on UK AM supply chain.
The Digital Manufacturing Centre (DMC) will demonstrate its world-leading production additive manufacturing (AM) capabilities at the MACH2022 exhibition. Taking place between 4 – 8 April 2022, the event will see more than 25,000 visitors – including manufacturing engineers, technology providers and OEMs – converge at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.
Attendees to the DMC stand will be greeted by numerous AM-produced parts from automotive, motorsport, aerospace and space. For those interested in learning about the capabilities of state-of-the-art AM technologies, the DMC’s application engineers will be on-hand to deliver complimentary consultations.
The DMC will also host the event’s Inspiration Zone, thanks to the support of partners Laser Lines and Stratasys. Created to inspire the next generation of STEM students, the Zone will showcase the latest in AM technology with 6 MakerBot SKETCH production systems. Following the conclusion of MACH2022, the exhibit will be relocated to the DMC and run as a full-time educational installation.
CEO of the DMC, Kieron Salter, will be delivering a presentation as part of the event’s Additive Morning on Wednesday 6 April (10:30-11:00 am). Hosted in the Seminar theatre, Salter will address ‘Building a supply chain for additive manufacturing’, which takes a look at the viability of contemporary AM in meeting production requirements and the necessity of a robust, multi-technology, sector-agnostic AM supply chain in the UK.
Kieron Salter, CEO of the DMC, commented: “MACH2022 will be a fantastic opportunity for businesses and individuals from across the manufacturing sector to link up and explore some of the exciting changes and evolutions in manufacturing technology. With so few industry events having taken place over the past two years, there is a real buzz of excitement as we begin to move beyond the pandemic. Certainly, the manufacturing sector is set to play a crucial role in the UK’s post-pandemic, post-Brexit recovery.
“The DMC team will be exhibiting a number of components on stand 17-541. We’re looking forward to meeting up with our technical partners, equipment suppliers and, of course, our customers from across UK industry. I encourage anyone interested in learning more about the DMC to come and visit the stand and to join us for MACH2022 Additive Hour.”
Organised by The Manufacturing Technologies Association and sponsored by Lloyds Bank, MACH2022 will bring together buyers, engineers and manufacturers from across the UK and abroad. Intended for UK manufacturing engineers, decision-makers, buyers and specifiers with new technologies, equipment, processes and services, it is one of the UK’s largest manufacturing industry events.
