The Silverstone Technology Cluster’s work in corporate and social responsibility (CSR) has been recognised at international level.
The STC won a Gold Award for a micro-business at the International CSR Excellence Awards at St Paul’s Cathedral, London in mid-June – one of the premier ceremonies in the world to celebrate the economic, social and environmental credentials of organisations.
More than 500 organisations were nominated for awards with the STC amongst an exclusive number to be recognised with an accolade.
“We are delighted to have won this Gold Award,” enthused Galina Cleal, STC Events, Partnerships & Marketing Manager.
“This is a great accolade for our organisation, showcasing our dedication to driving positive change with our work and making a difference to the communities we are part of.
“We are always determined to lead by example and inspire our members, and this award provides us with a new platform to take the conversation on CSR, sustainability, and future growth further.
“Nevertheless, this milestone only marks the beginning of our CSR journey, and we look forward to implementing more initiatives and projects to strengthen STC’s commitment to being more conscious, more responsible, and more innovative as a business.”
Richard Collins, CSO of CSR Accreditation – a leading expert in CSR in the UK and an STC member – was full of praise.
“We are delighted to hear that the STC has gone on to win a Gold Award at the International CSR Excellence Awards,” expressed Richard.
“It was really inspiring to see their commitment in achieving the CSR Accreditation Silver certificate in 2022, especially their commitment to reach net zero by 2040, but to go on and be recognised on an international stage is exceptional.
“All of us at CSR-A look forward to seeing the STC progress on their sustainability journey.”
