Silverstone Technology Cluster (STC) today welcomed some real doyennes of the trucking industry, who came together to offer their insights into the latest developments in logistics and transport, and valuable intel on how technological innovations within the commercial vehicle sector are changing the landscape.

Presentations included the definition of what constitutes a ‘commercial vehicle’ today and went on to look at several case studies which brought out the detail around the many challenges and opportunities which exist currently, and which need to be addressed prior to the major forthcoming net-zero legislative changes.

From how Stagecoach Midlands are planning on electrifying a 7000-vehicle national fleet over the next 12 years, to how Lunaz are up-cycling and refurbishing bin lorries to turn what would have been scrapped into an EV with upgradable powertrain and battery modules to cope with new technologies as they become available.
