David Homfray- CTO Space Solar
David A. Homfray has contributed to cutting edge neuroscience at the University of Oxford, fusion research at the UKAEA, space research at the Satellite Applications Catapult and is now focused on the development and commercialisation of Space-Based Solar Power as Chief Technology Officer at Space Solar.
During his time in fusion, he was Head of Engineering Realisation, an Engineer in Charge of JET (the world’s largest fusion experiment) and led the initial plans, strategies and work packages for the £220M fusion commercialisation programme STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production).
As Chief Technology Officer at Space Solar, David’s primary responsibility is designing and delivering the Space Solar technical programme, enabling SBSP products to be delivered at scale to meet Net Zero. He is a Chartered Physicist, Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.

Gabriel Giani Moreno is an AI Engineer, Entrepreneur, and Business Developer specializing in the intersection of technology, strategic thinking, and human development. Dr Patrick Stacey is an Associate Professor focusing on human agency within AI systems. He is a Principal Investigator with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Austrian Space Forum. He is also the Founder of the AI startup “Ankwilitas” which is the world’s first white-box sentiment platform for email analytics. He has published in international journals, earning numerous awards. His research has influenced cancer care policy and astronaut emotional health.
Adam Trzepadłek- Director Fragola Engineering
Fascinated by machines since childhood, Adam spent over a decade designing high-performance powertrains for motorcycles, cars, and Formula 1. From concept to production, he led projects that pushed mechanical boundaries.
Among the highlights of his career, Adam is most proud of contributing to two Formula 1 Constructors’ titles with Mercedes, as well as leading the design of a hyper car V12 engine and the latest Indian Scout engine, both taken from clean-sheet concept to full production.
But along the way, one issue kept surfacing: broken, inefficient workflows. With a deep understanding of engineering and manufacturing, Adam shifted gears into AI automation — not to replace engineers, but to empower them.
Today, he helps manufacturers automate repetitive tasks like quote generation, document handling, and drawing checks through custom AI tools. His mission? Make work faster, more accurate, and a whole lot more enjoyable.
Erika Lewis- CEO Connected Places Catapult
Erika Lewis joined Connected Places Catapult from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) in March 2024 as Chief Executive Officer. She has held positions at the London Development Agency, Competition and Markets Authority and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
While at DCMS she led the delivery of the AI Safety Summit in 2023, the world’s first event bringing together international governments, leading AI companies and experts in cutting edge AI research. Erika has a strong focus on using innovation to drive regional economic development.
Adrian Pryce– Associate professor, University of Northampton.
Adrian has a career spanning banking, travel & tourism, the food & drink industry and not for profit sectors. He holds an MBA from IESE, Spain. Fluent in Spanish, he has 30 years’ international experience in both established businesses and start-ups, as well as one year with the World Bank. Adrian is a trained B Corp Leader and advises companies on their social impact strategy. In 2017 Adrian was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant (DL) of Northamptonshire for services to business and charity. He is Chair of the Institute of Director’s National Sustainability Group. Adrian leads the Silverstone 2035 Vision project.
