With a career spanning two decades, Phil leads Primo’s design function, specialising in designing and integrating transmissions for motorsport and high-performance automotive vehicles. He has enjoyed supporting customers at events like Le Mans, WRC, Indycar, Touring Car, MotoGP and F1.

Phil approaches solving difficult packaging challenges with a high level of enthusiasm and has a proven track record of rapidly developing systems through 2D schemes into 3D models. Presenting ideas to customers along the way he uses his wealth of experience realising their desired solution. 

Phil enjoys spending time with his two boys (10 and 12) and has already got them onto CAD and 3D printing projects for school and fun! To unwind Phil enjoys taking Cosmo the dog for long walks in the countryside with his sons and wife Liz.

Phil has been slowly but surely restoring a classic TVR which has been set to be finished and on the road for the last 13 summers!
