From supplying the Ferrari F1 team to patenting ‘High Performance’ rowing machines – meet two of the STC’s newest members, Dynisma and Inond.
Dynisma creates the world’s most dynamic, accurate, and responsive driving simulators, providing unmatched simulation technology for motorsport teams and automotive OEMs worldwide.
In motorsport, top teams like Ferrari F1 use Dynisma’s ‘driver-in-the-loop’ simulators for car set-up, circuit familiarisation, driver training, and virtual safety car scenarios – such is the technology’s near-perfect correlation to the real race car.
OEMs, including McLaren Automotive, rely on Dynisma’s simulators for rapid virtual development of ride, handling, noise vibration harshness and advanced driver assistance systems, reducing costs and accelerating innovation.
The 100-strong company is constantly pushing the boundaries of high performance simulation from its technology and manufacturing campus in Bristol.
Simon Holloway, Commercial Director, commented: “Joining the Silverstone Technology Cluster provides us with invaluable access to key industry prospects and suppliers in manufacturing and high-performance engineering.
“The STC’s special interest groups and networking events foster unique opportunities for collaboration in motorsport and beyond.”
Inond specialises in business and product realisation or, as founder Benn Klewpatinond puts it: “Getting ideas from your head to your hand.”
“We focus on innovation, R&D and compliance, particularly in product development and manufacturing.
“People can have ideas for the most amazing products, but are they commercially viable? That’s where we step in, assessing manufacturing costs, market potential, and strategic options – whether selling the intellectual property or bringing the product to market – ensuring every angle is considered.”
Benn has first-hand experience of successfully turning ideas into reality having designed and patented ‘FloatRower’, a rowing machine he launched into giant pan-European fitness club chain David Lloyd – he is, after all, a qualified British rowing coach!
Current projects being developed by Inond include products that could reduce emissions for the construction and home DIY markets, plus another, in Germany, that could improve the welfare of endangered species such as tigers.
Benn added: “Obviously there is value in working on projects that we believe will launch so we can use them as case studies – these can be innovations or use of new technologies.
“The STC has a lot of advanced engineering within its region and those connections can help us find more suppliers.”
“This presents a reciprocal opportunity for us and companies to refer one another across many different sectors.”
