Buckinghamshire Council was established as a unitary council in April 2020 bringing together the best of the previous five district and county councils of Buckinghamshire. This includes Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) which is proud to be one of the founding members of the Silverstone Technology Cluster.

The Council is working to make Buckinghamshire the best place to live, raise a family, work and do business. We want our county to be a place everyone can be proud of, with excellent services, thriving businesses and outstanding public spaces for everyone. Our key priorities are; strengthening communities, improving our environment, protecting the vulnerable and increasing prosperity.

Buckinghamshire has a highly productive and entrepreneurial economy contributing £14.8billion to the UK economy. We are also well placed to take advantage of emerging opportunities because of our proximity to London and Heathrow and our location in the middle of the Oxford to Cambridge Arc. Our vision for Buckinghamshire includes to continue to attract high quality jobs and investment in skills, innovation and connectivity and to encourage sustainable economic growth, working with our partners to maximise opportunities and boost productivity and to support our businesses to flourish.
