Silverstone Technology Cluster
29th November 2022CEO Pim van Baarsen believes the Silverstone Technology Cluster’s 2022 Annual Conference was the “best ever” as the event ‘upgraded’ to a larger venue and its growing membership was exposed to exciting new opportunities with a number of large tech organisations.
More than 150 figures representing the advanced engineering, manufacturing, electronics and software development spectrum, local authorities, planning, policy makers and professional services attended the Conference – a significant fixture on the tech industry’s events calendar.
The audience heard from an array of industry experts with the US Army, UK Space Agency, Amazon Web Services and Norwich Science Park all announcing exclusive partnerships or programmes with the STC for members. More about each of these will be reported soon…
The STC also confirmed that members will now be able to take advantage of a new Business Agility & Transformation special interest group to help them navigate the changing corporate landscape. CLICK HERE to read more.
This year’s Conference was also staged for the first time at The Stables, Wavedon, Milton Keynes which provided a true auditorium atmosphere for the guest speakers.
The extra space created for break-out networking sessions also allowed for exhibitor stands from STC members Silverstone Park, Hexagon, Silverstone Composites, Medilink Midlands, Laser Lines, The Open University, Partner Electronics, SEMLEP, BBF, WSA and HV Wooding, whilst EMW also partnered the event.
Pim commented: “The feedback throughout the day and since has been overwhelming – our 2022 Conference really delivered for our membership in terms of industry insights, networking and creating opportunities to win new business in new markets.
“The event also clearly highlighted the strengths of the STC membership – their output and capabilities, as well as their innovation and thought leadership across many tech sectors.
“They are not just a jewel in the crown for UK industry but are also leading the way on a global level as witnessed by the scale of the organisations now making open approaches to help them problem solve.
“Since our first Conference in 2017, this has undoubtedly been our best ever, with a new venue that also created even more of a buzz. A huge thank you to the STC team (Galina Cleal, Jo Clement and Trudi Sadler) for a terrific day!”
