15th February 2022Government backed business advice organisation Be the Business has renewed its partnership with the Silverstone Technology Cluster (STC) for a second year, offering members and other companies from the region free specialist support.
Currently, places are being offered to micro businesses and SMEs for management and staff to receive one-to-one specialist advice as ‘mentees’, part of Be the Business’s Mentoring programme.
Be the Business’s network of mentors, with whom mentees are matched, includes senior figures from large corporations including Amazon, BAE Systems, John Lewis Partnership and Rolls Royce, to name but a few.

There will also be more opportunities in the coming months for businesses to join Be the Business’ Boards programme.
The programme provides businesses with their own advisory board, whilst experienced business owners can also volunteer to become a board member.
Both programmes as well as the STC’s business growth webinars will be supported in 2022 by Board member Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (HMI).
STC CEO Pim van Baarsen commented: “We are delighted to be working again with Be the Business.
“The relationship really started to thrive in Year 1, with many businesses reporting how beneficial signing up had been for them – particularly with the extra strains and even doubts brought on by the Covid situation.
“In fact, more than 40 businesses benefited from the shared experience and guidance being offered by the mentoring and advisory boards programmes which, as the feedback shows, proved ‘empowering’ for individuals.
“We also thank Hexagon for their terrific support in being able to provide these programmes in 2022.”
